JJAJANGMYEON (짜장면)BLACK BEAN NOODLES
This is a convenient food that favorite by the whole South Korean nations, particularly children. Though originally recipe is from China mainland. The combination of black bean, meat sauces with chewy Korean noodles are perfect to enjoy in between time. In many Korean drama scenes, there is an unwritten rule (become a tradition), that whenever someone move into new house, usually they will order Jjajangmyeon to enjoy with the whole family, after they finished moving things inside the house. |
jjamppong (짬뽕)SPICY SEAFOOD NOODLES
The rival of the above Jjajangmyeon is this Jjampong! Why rival? Because it is common for Korean to compare each other taste just by asking someone favorite as easy as.. Jjajangmyeon? ~ or Jjamppong? Means that one person's favorite is sweet taste and the other' is spicy one. Usually this kind of question asked during first time meeting with the opposite gender, to know if they are compatible or not. As silly as it thinks, like it or not it happens a lot in Korean everyday life. If both choose the same taste, then it is good luck match. |
